REIKI
is an ancient healing modality that has its roots in Japan. Like a tree, Reiki has many branches that come in many forms,
but all have one main source.... The Universe. Reiki has no religion and therefore is ideal for anyone. If you have your doubts,

Reiki is channelled through the Practitioner, who is trained to connect to Universal energy. This energy then enters
the practitioner through the Crown Chakra, and flows out through the hands. You, as the client, will feel this energy,
with heat, tingling, or a cold sensation.
Reiki
is given to you either on the treatment couch or sitting on a chair, or sometimes using both in one treatment. You remain
fully clothed throughout. Relaxing music and candles or incense will be used to raise the vibration in which to receive your
treatment, unless you prefer not to have the latter. Hands are placed on you, but never on 'personal' areas. The Practitioner
will be silent, so enabling you to completely relax.
As
you begin to relax, all stress and worry can disappear, and you can soon be in a state of deep relaxation.... so
deep that some people go to sleep. Please remember that you will not be left alone at any time, and we never rush you.
Some intense events
throughout our lives we have kept buried deep within ourselves, or blocked, rather than dealing with them
at the time - perhaps because we were too young,
or because the event was just too intense for us to handle. Sometimes, these buried emotions are the root of all our problems....and
yes, illnesses....so we must deal with them. Reiki works at a deep level which can help you to clear blockages and work through deep, cutting
emotions.
In
dealing with such a situation with Reiki, we have only to acknowledge its appearance and then let it go; we need
not go through the trauma of it again. Once those 'hidden away' feelings have been unblocked and acknowledged, you can then
go forward with your life. You should not be held back by them any more.
Please do not worry that you may have to discuss anything of a delicate nature with me. I will speak with you about this at the session before I start.
At our first meeting, I will take a brief history from you. This is then placed, and kept, in a secure safe for seven
years. At no time will any part of your information be used by others.
It is a practice of mine to ring you the following day / evening for a chat post-Reiki, as things can often become worse for
a time after a session. This is to be expected, and quite normal.... how often have you heard, “Things get worse before they get better”?
