New home smudged.
“I’ve known Lynne for years and when my partner & I bought
our first home together last week Lynne was the first person to see it. She did a House Cleanse – including using
a beautiful feather, Lynne called it a Smudge feather, she used some special herbs in a shell and when lit; the herbs burn,
the flame goes out and the herbs just smoke afterwards and it is this which is brushed around the rooms, I left Lynne to do
her thing, she went into every room, in our son’s room she said a blessing, and again in our bedroom. Lynne also follows
her smudging with Reiki. The feeling afterwards was amazing – you don’t think it will make such a difference,
but it really does. Even my partner who’s a bit skeptical of these things said ‘it feels totally different,
especially in the bedroom’ – he didn’t know that Lynne had done an extra blessing in there...but I did!!
She left us with a home-made pouch of herbs, which adds a protection to our home from negative energy entering, we hang that
above the front door now so all visitors get a very special, spiritual welcome to our new home and a quick cleanse too. Our
home has a lighter brighter feeling,it is so nice to come home after working,as the house seems to welcome you in with a big
smile. Lynne’s wonderful, I love her to bits and I’d recommend her – and Janet – a thousand times
over”.

March
1st A dry evening!
Janet & I enjoy smudging and were well up for the job of smudging a 5 bedroom, very
large home including business premises out Darrington way. The home owners felt their home could benefit from a
smudging cleanse to lift the energies.They were themselves feeling very low and some-what void of "good vibrations".Janet
being the extra sensitive among us went round the house first to see if any rooms required any extra work,her report was that
"only one area needs more care", so with that we got our equipment ready, smudge sticks,other herbs and our Smudging
Feathers.We covered every nook and cranny inside and outside. Once finished we read out our blessing for the home and after
a well earned cup of tea we asked the home owners to have a walk around to feel the new energies of their home, their faces
and the hugs we received said it all really,they were very happy.We chatted for a while after and the house rang with laughter
it was wonderful. We made our follow-up phone call the next morning, our clients said they had slept very well,woke refreshed
and ready for a new day,their home greeted them lightly and brightly and all felt wonderful. We had a further call later in
the evening with some extra positive news that their business was also boosted by new clients. That's what we call "A
job well done"!

AGE CONCERN event, 1st
October 2010 Venue;
Barnsley Metrodome
Janet and I had volunteered our services to Age Concern for
the day, and what a day it was. We arrived around 09.30hrs, through wind and pelting rain. We had been allocated the lovely
garden chalet which nestles nicely in the garden of remembrance, a super little peaceful place. The gates being locked, we couldn’t get in to set up, so armed with our brollies we had a fair enough walk up to the
sports centre to find the person with the keys. “Can’t expect many people turning out in this weather –
bet we’ll be say playing I-spy all day, “we chuckled to one another. Ha ha, nothing gets us down! At the sport centre, we were introduced to Phil, caretaker
/ gardener. We followed him through a short cut back to the garden, where he opened up for us and then helped us unload our
couches and other items. Believe me, we don’t travel light for lightworkers! Phil left us to it, saying he would escort
clients from the sports hall as and when.There we were, still setting up, when our first client turned up. We apologised for
not being ready and asked her if she’d mind waiting; she didn’t mind at all. Everything
now set up, the music on, the candles lit, and our crystals placed on the table, we invited our client to choose a couch and
Janet set to work on her.Fifteen mins passed, and I saw Phil arriving with two more clients.The rain was still pelting down
and the wind blowing like a gale. Our first lady was ready to go back up to the main building, so Phil walked with her; twenty
minutes later he was back again with two more clients. After having made the comment about playing I-spy, we had to chuckle
– we had no time for that, or a cuppa! We had a good steady flow of very eager people wanting to try Reiki; they were
going back to the main hall, enthusiastically telling people to get their names down, saying how enjoyable and very relaxing
Reiki is.Time cracked on; at 1pm it was time for a bite to eat and a much needed scurry to the bathroom; in came our friend
Suzy Sherratt of “Look-After-You”. (See links). Suzy is a Reflexologist and yes, we’d roped her in, too.
We greeted her with a warm hug and crossed legs, and left Suzy to settle herself in. As we left, her first client arrived. We were
invited to join the queue for the free buffet, but we only had about three quarters of an hour left for our break, so we decided
we’d just have a tray of chips and a cuppa, which we bought at the bar. In hindsight, we should have been patient and
queued; we’d a half hour wait at the bar! Our first clients after lunch were booked for 2pm; we’ve never eaten
so fast! We set
off back to the garden chalet, and quietly entered as Suzy was working on her second client; our own clients weren’t
far behind us. Time flew, without so much as a breather in between clients. At 4pm, Phil popped his head round the door, saying,
“ just two more clients for you ladies, they’ll be down shortly,” Off he went, escorting two clients away,
leaving us with one still having a treatment; then in came two more. We assumed they were the ones we were expecting, so one
hopped onto a couch for Reiki, and the other sat for Reflexology. Then in came two of the Age Concern ladies, who had been
taking bookings for us and Suzy. Ooops! Apparently the last two hadn’t placed a booking, but we carried on and then
gave the volunteers their treatments.They loved it, telling us all about the feedback that was filtering back to into the
main hall about us and the Reiki and Reflexology; all our clients that day had also given written feedback in our comments
book too. It might have been wet and windy, but nothing puts Yorkshire folk off – we’re blessed with large supplies
of stamina! We finally
got packed up. Phil helped carry our load back to the van, after which we went up to the main hall and bought a very well
earned G & T each with a slice ‘n ice! We are signed up for 2011, so be sure to watch out for the Age Concern events!
If you would like to approach us for volunteer day events, such as Age Concern,
please email us with the details and dates,we will check our diary's to see if we can help.Lynne, Janet, Suzy, we also have Karen on board from ‘English Rose Therapy’.

~~~~~ Wet, windy days - we don’t half pick ‘em!
We
had an idea to hold a little event (2009) where people could come and have ‘taster’ sessions of various therapies
for £5. We also wanted to support a couple of charities, so The Stroke association and The Dogs Trust were to benefit.
We
got everything all organised, the triple gazebo was erected, the couches and tables with all our equipment. Karen of English
Rose Therapy had her section all ready to go, too. In the club house, we had tables set out with various items to purchase;
we even had a magician to entertain kiddies and adults alike. The tea rooms we kitted out with tea, coffee, delicious cakes
and big fat muffins! All
set to go then, uh -oh –wind…. No, not us or that sort, -high wind and rain. The gazebo threatened to
become a big kite, a very big kite, the guy ropes and pegs pinging out of the ground, and 4 ladies hanging onto the poles
for dear life whilst Lynne’s husband was trying to undo the tenting, it wasn’t easy holding onto the poles as
we were really being blown very hard, but we were laughing too. Keith, Wendy’s husband was fighting with his tent too
with the help of Lauren the Magician and Wendy. Lynne’s son; the obviously Psychic one, returned
and began helping John to undo the tents. These down and now safe, we could let go of the poles. Our arms ached, but we now
had to chase papers and tissues, put away our equipment. Not wanting to let anyone down, we set the couches up in the tea
room and carried on in there…. our gazebos may have been down but we were not out for a duck! (That’s a cricket
term). We finally had a really good afternoon, and raised a good bit for our charities too. We hope to have more success with
the weather for our next event.
